In the Battle of Olympus demo, only Zeus and Hades are playable. That will not be the case with Battle of Olympus full release, or even the beta. There are many upcoming characters that we have yet to share with you. We can’t wait to show you how they fight and what they are like. In the coming weeks, they will each get a proper introduction. Consider this article a first look at the upcoming characters in Battle of Olympus.
Metis
Metis is a nymph and the first deity of wisdom. She was also Zeus’ first wife. Metis was able to shape-shift at will and possessed intimate knowledge about many secrets of Olympus. In fact, her cunning helped Zeus rescue his brothers and defeat Cronus.
Athena
Athena is the goddess of wisdom, war and crafts. She was born to Zeus and Metis and took over the role of deity of wisdom from her mother, surpassing her in that domain. Athena is also known as the patroness and protector of Athens!
Artemis
Artemis is a goddess of the hunt and the wilderness. She is the daughter of Zeus and his lover, the goddess Leto. She is one of the few Olympian gods sworn to virginity, making her immune to the power of Aphrodite and greatly influential in the Olympian pantheon.
Ares
Ares is the god of war and courage. The son of Zeus and Hera, he is known for his strength and skill in battle, but also for his brutality. While the Greeks often addressed Athena for strategy, they turned to Ares for the sheer strength and indomitable power sometimes required to prevail in battle.
The future of gods in Battle of Olympus
Battle of Olympus will stay true to its theme in terms of characters. Their mythological counterparts’ stories will guide our design and narrative decisions. While Zeus and Hades are currently the gods this community knows best, the other Olympians mentioned in this article are not far behind! You can expect dedicated articles about them soon.
